About the Artist
My artistic journey is a tale of two landscapes and many passions. As a self-taught artist, my story began in the rural farm country of upstate New York, where I was shaped by the endless forests and mountains. A lifetime of exploring and camping in these wild places left a profound imprint on my soul, igniting a deep appreciation for wildlife and the rugged beauty of the wilderness. In the 1980s, I moved to Florida, where my inspiration was captivated by the natural rhythm of the ocean and its abundant aquatic life.
While I have a natural gravitation toward wildlife and pet commissions, I hold a very special place in my heart for the woman warrior, a theme that represents the powerful energy within all women. Beyond the natural world, classic rock also holds a nostalgic place in my being, and I am often called to sketch iconic musical legends. One of my favorite pieces is a portrait of Gregg Allman, which was created to benefit the children's programs of The Arthaus and is currently showcased in the lobby of the Daytona Hardrock Hotel.
My work has found homes with collectors across the country and internationally. Through each piece, I aim to create a bridge between these worlds—the quiet, wild north, the vibrant, tranquil south, the timeless energy of an era, and the strength of the feminine spirit. Each piece is a reflection of my personal connection to nature and a celebration of the landscapes, both physical and emotional, that have shaped my life and continue to inspire my art.
